An ambidextrous QD swivel and front pin designed for the MP5 wide/ triangle handguard. It replaces the factory pin to provide a secure QD sling mount on either side of the firearm.
Unlike a threaded‑nut designs that risk loosening, this swivel uses a reliable E‑clip retention system. After extensive use and training, the clip has proven dependable — and each unit ships with extra heavy‑duty and medium‑duty E‑clips for peace of mind and a more universal fit.
Designed to fit the wide handguard on the MP5/SP5. There are a lot of handguards out there and I cant design around everything and every tolerance stack up. The body of the pin is 5/8″ in diameter, the grip length is 1.10″ and the E-clip is ~0.45″ in diameter. (For reference a CR123 battery is a hair larger in diameter than 5/8″, a 38spl casing is ~1.15″ long, and the rim of the 38spl casing is ~0.43″.)

- Reliable retention: The E‑clip locks the pin in place. I tested this design through three MP5 training classes and 18 months of use, and it never failed. To make disassembly easier and account for minor manufacturing differences, I include two heavy‑duty and two medium‑duty E‑clips.
- Practical engineering: I avoided a threaded‑nut designs that can loosen and cause your firearm to fall. The E‑clip system keeps the pin secure without adding complexity. While I haven’t run formal FEA, the design handles real‑world demands.
