Ambidextrous QD Swivel — engineered for adaptability. I designed this rear takedown pin and QD swivel around the Magpul SL and A2 stocks for the MP5/SP5. It replaces the factory pin and gives you a secure QD sling mount on either side of the firearm.
- Versatile fit: Use it with the Magpul SL, A2 or A3 stocks. Customers have also mounted it on PTR rifles, and other HK roller‑lock platforms in 5.56 and .308. Some customers even use it in the back hole of the A2 stock so that they can use a traditional 2 point sling.
- Reliable retention: The E‑clip locks the pin in place. I tested it through three MP5 training classes and 18 months of use, and it never failed. To make disassembly easier and account for the manufacturing differences in stocks, I include two heavy‑duty (0.035″) and two medium‑duty (0.025″) E‑clips. Even the medium clip withstands a 250 lb thrust load.
- Practical engineering: I avoided a threaded‑nut designs that can loosen and cause your firearm to fall. The E‑clip system keeps the pin secure without adding complexity. While I haven’t run formal FEA, the design handles real‑world demands. (Please skip the Die Hard HVAC hang – but if you want to see just how strong my design is it will support a 200lb load if you use a quality sling mount https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJikLxR2xvU&t=11s)
- A2 stock option: I cut a minor angle into the side of the pin to fit the A2 stock. Select the A2 option from the dropdown if you want that version.
- Made in the USA: A local CNC machine shop produces this for me. So when you buy this you are helping to support me and my wife and 4 families at the CNC shop.
- Made of steel, you can easily adjust the fit with a file or grinding stone if needed.
This swivel gives shooters a dependable, adaptable sling solution. It combines straightforward design with proven durability, so you can trust it in training, at the range, or in everyday use
