Magazine Springs – P226 – 9mm – 10 & 15 Rnd, Single Profile
Magazine springs are +5% extra power allowing for a choice of springs for optimum magazine performance. The stronger spring is especially recommended when using extra power recoil springs.
NOTE: For magazines listed below with a single profile magazine springs that are German manufactured. Magazines will have a zig zag/zipper pattern on the backside where the sheet metal is welded together. (Please see the long description to see how I broke the rules)
For Use in:
P-226 – 9mm – 10 and 15 round magazine
P-228 – 9mm – 10 and 13 round magazine
P-229 – .40/.357 – 12 round magazine
I broke the rules and it seems to be working for me. I put these springs in a non-zipper mag and they are working so far. In the 3rd picture you will see 4 mags. The two on the left are Zipper mags and that is the spring that came out of it. The two mags on the right are non-zipper mags and the spring that came out of it. The spring in the center is the new spring. Fit form and function seems to be the same. The magazine bodies are the same and from what I can tell the follower is the same between the two (geometry wise). As the springs start to take a set in the non-zipper mags and if they start to have problems I will replace it with one of the Beretta 92 mag springs. The Beretta 92 spring and what came out of the non-zipper mag also look very similar (I will update this if I make that change). Your milage may very but now you have a little more information than you had before.
